Ancestral Origins is an immersive theater production like you’ve never experienced before! Following the smash success of Ancestral Echoes, poet and playwright Joe Davis invites us into an all new afrofuturistic adventure featuring over 20 local, interdisciplinary artists weaving together choreography, live band music, singing, and poetic storytelling.
THE STORY
It’s post-apocalyptic America in the year 3019. After using music-powered experiments to travel to other worlds in search of healing for his endangered tribe, “afrophysicist” JahDavis returns to his village only to learn of a new danger threatening the freedom of all humanity. With the help of The Oracle, The Spirit Guides, and a motley crew of Freedom Fighters, JahDavis travels through time, tracing his ancestral lineage on a journey of self-discovery and transformation.
