China Center 40th Anniversary Gala

Celebrate 40 years of building U.S.-China bridges with an evening of festive food, entertainment, and conversation!

5:00 – 5:45 p.m.: Social hour with guzheng performance and appearance by the UMN Chinese Culture Club

5:45 – 6:30 p.m.: Opening remarks and dinner

6:30 – 8:00 p.m.: Program and keynote lecture by John Holden

UMN alumnus Mr. John Holden will deliver a keynote speech on U.S.-China relations and exchanges, “Minnesota to China: A 40-Year Reflection.” One of the first UMN students to travel to China in the 1970s before China opened to the West, Mr. Holden is Senior Director for China at McLarty Associates.

Registration includes dinner, reception, musical performance, keynote lecture, and silent auction.
