It’s triple-winning combo—a curator-led exhibition tour, crafted cocktails and fine FIKA consumables. Stroll through the Mansion with long-time, ASI curator, Curt Pederson to learn more about Broos’ techniques, the symbolism of her locations and her stature as an artist in Sweden.

– First Stop–Osher Gallery: Caramelized onion fritter, gjetost and marinated radish. Cocktail–Sloe Gin Slush made with Sloe Gin from Sloe Berries (Blackthorne), Death’s Door Gin from Middleton, WI, and Dolin Blanc. A juicy, berry forward drink, cut by a bark-like earthiness, over crushed ice.
– Second Stop–Salon: buckwheat crepe, gravlax and dill
– Third Stop–Library: Sweet corn dumpling, speck ham and sorrel
– Fourth Stop–Ballroom: Oyster on the half shell, caper mignonette and mustard seed. Cocktail– Classic Champagne made with Gruet Brut with grapefruit bitters, Demerara and lemon. A simple and elegant sparkling drink served in a flute glass with gold sugar on the half rim.
Broos, making her U.S. debut, is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed artists. Her photo-realistic paintings offer a uniquely female perspective, often focusing on her daughters and grandchildren set in the contemplative vistas of her home and forests and lakes from around Värmland. The exhibition encompasses about 55 paintings, created from 2011 to present, with many being shown publicly for the first time.
Each tour accomodates 26 people.
