Two women take the stage for this dramatic play about a well-known author and her student protégé, kicking off Women’s History Month this March.
SYNOPSIS
Ruth Steiner is a respected author in the autumn of her career when she hires Lisa, a graduate student, to be her assistant. Under Ruth’s mentorship, Lisa’s talent is unleashed, but when Lisa writes a novel based upon Ruth’s past, their friendship explodes with questions about intellectual property and the ownership of experiences.

ABOUT
This gem of a play, by one of today’s most admired playwrights (Donald Margulies), will feature the acting talent of Maggie Bearmon Pistner (recently seen at MJTC) as Ruth and Ashley Rose Montondo (recently seen at the Guthrie) as Lisa, and directed with excellence by Jennie Ward (Harvard University). Collected Stories will have a performance on International Women’s Day, and several performances during Women’s History Month.
