Danish Day: Food, Crafts and More

Summer is quickly approaching, and with it comes our favorite event-Danish Day! Get ready for delicious open-faced sandwiches, kringle, arts & crafts, entertainment and lots of fun. And this year, we’re celebrating 800 years of the Danish Flag Dannebrog.
Danish Day Program:
10:30 am Booths Open
● Danish bakery & food booths
● Vendor & Informational Tables
11:00 am Morning Program
● Opening Remarks by Master of Ceremonies
● 2019 Dane of the Year will be Announced
12:00 pm Smørrebrød lunch service begins
● Each Plate includes delicious Danish open-Faced sandwiches, pastry and coffee for $12
● Enter the Atrium by the Main Entrance, pick up your plate and beverage, then exit the south doors to the patio
● Also available for purchase, hot dogs, aebleskiver, soda, bottled water and other refreshments at the food tent in front of the building.
2:00pm Afternoon Program
● Danish National Anthem & “America the Beautiful”
● Diane Grieves, president of the DAC will open Danish Day
● Celebrating Dannebrog: 800 years of the Danish Flag
● Musical Entertainment

PARKING: Due to construction, special event parking will be in the West Lot at Minnehaha Academy. The entrance is off of E 32nd St on the south side of the building. The parking spots on site at the DAC are reserved for handicap/accessible parking only.
