Fall Open House – L’inauguration

Come discover the Alliance Française in our new home at our Fall Open House!

Join the Twin Cities French and Francophile community at AFMSP’s Fall Open House on Saturday, Sept 7, from 11 am to 4 pm!
This open house will celebrate the inauguration of the Chichi Steiner Family Library, our gift shop La Boutique, and our recently renovated second floor education center.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments including bread and sweets donated by Breadsmith MN, meet our staff and teachers, tour the new building, learn about upcoming events this fall and winter, and enter a raffle to win tickets to see French films at the Twin Cities Jewish Film Festival or to see Polo & Pan at First Avenue & 7th St Entry. Remember to take a French placement test and register for fall classes!
Join us at 11 am as Consul General of France in Chicago Guillaume Lacroix helps us inaugurate the new Chichi Steiner Family Library. Then stay from 12 to 12:30 pm for a chance to meet MNUFC’s Malagasy-French player Romain Metanire. Finish out the second half of the day with true French bread from our instructor and friend Anne’s recently founded D’argent Bakery! Il y aura quelque chose pour tout le monde !

CLASSES:
At our Open House you will have the opportunity to sample a few of the many classes we offer. Try our “French for Travelers” alongside one of our foundation classes that explore the text book used regularly in our classrooms. Explore our fall course offerings here.
We also offer French classes for kids and teens! Meet our teachers and staff at Open House and then find more information on class availability here.

Join our Ciné Club for the opportunity to watch and discuss French language films with fellow cinéphiles. Or join one of our book clubs to grow your knowledge of French literature with Les Navigateurs or read introductory books at Lectures Faciles. We have a club for teens with FREE monthly events, Les Djeunes, too! Other clubs include our young professional group Jeunes Cadres Dynamiques and our Wine Club whose exciting partnership with Small Lot Wine and Henry & Son just keeps on growing!
