Finnish Independence Day Reception and Sauna

Enjoy an evening of togetherness with snacks and a greeting from the Honorary Consul in the Twin Cities, as we celebrate the 102nd anniversary of Finnish independence on Friday December 6, 2019. Wait! There is an opportunity to sauna, too?
Reception Date and Time: Friday, December 6, 6:00-7:30PM
Reception Location: The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park, 1221 Theodore Wirth Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55422
Reception is free. A $10 donation is suggested to cover the cost of the rental of the space and to provide the snacks (donation does not include sauna access).
The Finnish community in the Cities is partnering with the 612 Sauna Society to bring you the heat to celebrate Independence in the way you only know is appropriate. A Sauna!
The 612 Sauna Society’s wood-fired mobile sauna, known as the Forge, is the perfect place to spend a chilly winter evening. Sauna tickets are $15 + Eventbrite fee.

The 612 Sauna Society’s mobile sauna, colloquially known as the Forge, is in residence at the Trailhead building in Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis in cooperation with the Loppet Foundation for the 2019-2020 winter season.
