Green Card STEM Voices: Book Launch Celebration

Green Card Voices invites you to our Green Card STEM Voices Book Launch, Networking Time, and Panel Discussion.
DATE: Saturday, February 15th from 1pm-5 pm
LOCATION: The Science Museum of Minnesota,
Discovery Hall, 120 Kellogg Blvd W, St. Paul, MN 55102
The event aims to connect STEM professionals from across Minnesota to network and learn from one another, to inspire attendees to expand their definition of what it means to lead, and provide resources and best practices to equip attendees with opportunities and within the larger community. We expect up to 200 people to attend – many immigrants and allies.

**All event participants will receive a wristband that will allow you to explore the Museum overall

1:00 PM Networking Time

3:00 PM Book Launch of Green Card STEM Voices
4:00 PM Book Signing
ATTENDEES WILL –
– Expand their professional networks with individuals of similar backgrounds thereby creating support networks necessary to flourish personally and professionally in environments where they are underrepresented
– Build a library of resources available in the community to foster their leadership capabilities
– Gain inspiration and knowledge from immigrant leaders and from the 20 diverse stories represented in Green Card STEM Voices
PANEL DISCUSSION –
Joining us for this robust conversation is Irma Márquez Trapero of Latino Lead, Bo Thao-Urabe of Coalition of Asian American Leaders (CAAL), and Sampson Linus, Program Leader at EcoLab; Moderator: Hussein Farah, Green Card Voices STEM Author, Founder & Executive Director of New Vision Foundation. They will share insights and stories of staying in touch with one’s community and leading and working in spaces where immigrants/refugees are typically underrepresented.

The Science Museum’s parking ramp is located at 120 W. Kellogg Boulevard, across from the Xcel Energy Center and RiverCentre in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102.
