New Date: Opening Reception – The Body in Soviet Art

March 16, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Because of (yet another) impending snow storm, this opening reception has been RESCHEDULED for Saturday, March 16th.

The exhibition will still be on view this Saturday, February 23rd, and we hope you’ll join us in one way or another!

Be the first to view this new exhibition, drawn from the renowned Raymond and Susan Johnson collection of Russian 20th century paintings. The Body in Soviet Art examines the depictions of the human form in Soviet art, featuring more than fifty works created in the 1950s-1970s. Representations of the human body have varied over time and across cultures. Soviet art placed a unique emphasis on the working body as part of a Soviet collective.

Refreshments will be available for your enjoyment. We hope you can join us!

TMORA Members FREE | General Admission $10 | Senior Admission (non-member) $8 | Student Admission with ID (non-member) $5 | Children under 14 FREE
