Noura Post-Play Discussion with Eynas Alnabi

Responding to the Iraqi and Iraqi American identities of the characters, the Guthrie is partnering with the Iraqi and American Reconciliation Project, a local nonprofit that brings together Iraqis and Americans to learn from each other in friendship.

Guthrie Director of Community Engagement Rebecca Noon will be in conversation with IARP member Eynas Alnabi. Eynas was born in Iraq and left at age 4 due to war sanctions. After living in a refugee camp for six years, she came to the U.S. in 1996 and has lived in Minnesota ever since, graduating from St. Catherine University with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management. Alnabi is a mother of two and plans to start her yoga teaching certificate classes in February 2020 with the hopes of shifting her career to teaching yoga and meditation.
