Rondo Community Bus Tour

St. Paul’s African American community centered around Rondo Avenue until it was displaced by Interstate 94 in the 1960s. On this tour you’ll explore the neighborhood with community members as your guides:
-Penumbra company member H. Adam Harris will take you behind the scenes of the venerable theatre.
-Tasty treats will be served as you snack and tour the soon-to-open LEX/Taste of Rondo Restaurant.
-Leaders on the Rondo Commemorative Plaza project will show off the site and share plans.
Guests are also invited to tour the “Penumbra Theatre at 40” exhibit on their own following the tour.
This tour is presented in partnership with Aurora St. Anthony Neighborhood Development Corporation, Penumbra Theatre and Rondo Avenue Inc.
