Samkoma Icelandic Gala 2019

This annual gathering is a gala event to benefit the Val Björnson Icelandic Exchange Scholarship between the Universities of Minnesota and Iceland. Enjoy a gourmet buffet brunch, complete with mimosas and delicious desserts! Tickets are $45 each.
The keynote speaker will be award winning author, Eleanor Arnason, sharing “A Personal Look at Iceland Folktales,” what seems unique about Icelandic folktales — at least as compared to the Grimm Brothers folk tales, and how Eleanor uses Icelandic folktales in her fiction.
Raffle tickets to win a $1,000 Icelandair gift certificate (good for 5 years, to purchase flight tickets, accommodations, food, etc.) are available for $5 each (must be 18 to enter or win, though need not be present to win) from Treasurer, Ann McKinley or at Samkoma.
