Minnesota Tamil Sangam presents 11th “Sangamam” on “February 9th 2019 at Harding Senior High school”. Sangamam is an annual event to celebrate “Thai pongal “.
First time in Minnesota History, Minnesota Tamil Sangam Proudly presents Variety of Tamil Traditional Folk Arts with Support from “Arts and Culture Department, Government of Tamil Nadu” and “Tamil Nadu Rural Arts Development Centre”, Madurai. It’s a rare opportunity to bring the Original experts here to Minnesota to showcase all arts forms which includes Poikkal Kudhirai (Dummy horse on Stills dance), Karagattam(Balancing pot dance) Kavadi attam(Heavy wood frame dance), Silambattam(Stick Martial arts), Nathaswaram, Parai , Folk music and much more. Along with this, we have local talents giving colorful cultural programs!
