Exclusive “CraftBOWL” Exhibition Tours with Artisan Jögge Sundqvist at the American Swedish Institute

Don’t miss a rare opportunity to meet “woodworking royalty” and Swedish master craftsman Jögge Sundqvist (aka Surolle). Tour the exhibition in the Turnblad Mansion an enjoy an intimate chance to hear him share insights about his work.
As a charming champion of the Swedish sensibility of “slöjd” or handcraft, Surolle is acclaimed for his expressive and beautifully carved objects including bowls, chairs, sculptures, spoons and trays. Sundqvist says his work is based on the four cornerstones of material, tools, tradition and folk art. He is known for his live show “Rhythm and Slöjd/Craft,” where he shapes artwork to Rock ‘n’ Roll.
$15 for ASI Members, $20 non-members. Capacity of 30 each tour.
