Våffeldagen (Waffle Day) at ASI

Leggo of that Eggo and have a Swedish waffle instead! March 25 is a very, very important day in Sweden. That’s right … it’s Våffeldagen, or Waffle Day! Since it falls on a Monday this year (when we’re closed), we’re observing it a day early – which we think makes for a fabulous Sunday brunch plan 😋

Swedish våfflor are thinner than their Belgian counterparts and made in a special heart-shaped waffle iron. We’ll be serving both a sweet AND savory version to suit any taste. Pair with a cup of coffee or even a crafted cocktail! FIKA at the American Swedish Institute will be celebrating Våffeldagen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and, as always, does not take reservations.
