WWI: The Black Experience

June 22, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for a panel presentation featuring the lives of black Minnesotans during the WWI era. We’ll explore the rise of the black population in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, discuss injustices faced by men and women in uniform before and after their service, and the social movements that arose from these experiences.

A 30 minute Q&A will follow the panel presentation.

This event is presented by the African American Interpretive Center of Minnesota and is in association with the Minnesota Historical Society.

It’s free! You just need to register. Follow the link for tickets.
