Saraswati Puja & Spring Festival 2019

In partnership with the Hindu Society of Minnesota, KDT cordially invites you to its annual celebration of Saraswati Puja and Basant Panchami (the annual Indian Spring Festival)! This Hindu festival honors the goddess of knowledge, music and art while ushering in the first day of spring on the Hindu calendar. The event includes a religious ceremony, a display of Indian folk art, a celebration through music and dance, an array of authentic Indian food, and more. All are welcome!
THE SCHEDULE:
8:30 – 9:30 am: Preparation for the ritual (a fun opportunity for families to work together)
9:30 – 10:30 am: Worship ritual (Saraswati Puja)
10:30 – 11:15 am: Community performance
11:15 am – 12 pm: Katha Dance Theatre showcase performance
12 – 12:30 pm: Aarti & pushpanjali – offering of flowers
12:30 – 1:30 pm: Prasad & lunch
